PRESIDENT

Davin Benner brings a unique blend of military discipline and engineering expertise to his role as President of Granite Basin Engineering.  He served in the United States Army, Berlin Brigade, E320th Field Artillery from 1991-1994 before graduating from Northern Arizona University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. With over two decades of experience in surveying and civil engineering, Davin's comprehensive skill set covers every aspect of the field. His expertise includes business development, client communications, technical writing, site and master planning, design report creation, and construction administration. Davin's hands-on approach and attention to detail ensure that every project, from initial concept to final implementation, meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Ben Huza, a 2002 graduate of Northern Arizona University, brings over 25 years of civil engineering and construction experience to his role as Vice-President of Granite Basin Engineering. His diverse expertise encompasses crucial areas such as grading and drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, floodplain delineations, and water and sewer system design. Ben's background in construction gives him a unique, practical perspective on engineering design and constructability. This hands-on experience allows him to bridge the gap between conceptual design and real-world implementation, ensuring that GBE's projects are not only innovative but also feasible and efficient. His proficiency in GIS data management and analysis further enhances the firm's ability to deliver comprehensive, data-driven solutions.

Thomas Liuzzo, licensed in Arizona, California and Nevada, brings over three decades of surveying and engineering expertise to Granite Basin Engineering. Since 1988, Tom has been a key player in numerous public utility and infrastructure improvement projects across Arizona. His multifaceted experience covers all aspects of improvement projects, from initial funding and planning to design, construction, and administration. Tom's NICET level III Construction Certification and hands-on management of multi-million dollar projects showcase his practical skills and deep industry knowledge. His recent involvement in the Alternative Energy Market, conducting exploration and planning surveys for wind and solar projects throughout Arizona, demonstrates his adaptability and forward-thinking approach. Tom's diverse skill set and extensive network of resources make him an invaluable asset to any project, ensuring precision, efficiency, and innovative solutions.

Tucker Sweeney has worked in the civil engineering field in the Northern Arizona region since 2000. His experience involves all aspects of project development, including client communications, site/master planning, subdivision planning/lotting, subdivision plat drafting, subdivision construction plans, grading & drainage plans, roadway plans, mass grading plans, water distribution plans, water production facility plans, sewer collection plans, design reports, submittal coordination, topographic surveying, construction inspection & construction staking.
